Nowadays PAN card is a must for most Indian citizens because of its necessity in many places. PAN is a ten-digit alphanumeric number given by the Income Tax Department. e-PAN is issued at no cost in Pdf format. You can also apply on the NSDL website for e-PAN, but you need to pay a fee. This facility of instant PAN is for the individual who already has a valid aadhaar. The QR code in the e-PAN pdf has details such as name, date of birth, and photograph of the applicant.
Requisites of the instant e-PAN facility.
1. The applicant’s mobile number islinked to the aadhaar number and the complete date of birth is available in DD-MM-YYYY format on the aadhaar card.
2. The applicant must have a valid aadhaar card that has never been linked to a PAN number before. This instant e-PAN facility is not available to minors.
Here are the simple ways to apply for e-PAN.
1. Visit the income tax e-filing portal.

2. In Our Services click the Instant E-PAN option
3. Select Get New e-PAN to proceed further
4. Enter the valid Aadhaar number in the box. And select the confirm box and continue to proceed.
5. You need to enter OTP to validate. OTP will be sent to the Aadhaar registered mobile number.
6. Check your details such as Name, DOB, Address, mobile number, gender and validate the email to continue.
7. Your request for e-PAN is submitted and note down the 15 digit acknowledgment number generated
8. Go to Our Services click the Instant E-PAN and select check status/download PAN to download your e-PAN.
